And it slips away...

Yesterday, Barcelona lost the Supercopa de España final against Athletic Bilbao. It slipped near the end of the game when it was 2-1, and they ended up winning 3-2 on extra-time. Messi was vital in Barcelona's first goal, he made 3 shots, completed 4 dribbles, won 11 ground duels, received 7 fouls, made 2 long balls, 66 passes, and 103 touches, but unfortunately, a last-minute red card changed what was a good performance from him.

À goal from Griezmann was quickly responded by a goal from de Marcos. Later in the second half, Griezmann once again gave Barcelona the lead, but Athletic once again equalized near the end of the game thanks to a goal from Villalibre. In extra-time, Williams scored the final goal and Messi was sent off in the end due to violent conduct.

This was, of course, a heartbreaking and preventable loss, but we'll just have to move on to the league and hope to keep good results, since the Champions League trophy is pretty much a dream with the current squad, facing PSG as well.
